ELIX will participate in the sports and culture event that will take place on May 23rd, at Kaftanzoglio Stadium in Thessaloniki, organized by the Regional Directorate of Education of Central Macedonia and the Coordination Office for Education of Refugees.
The event embraces the moto «ΠαιΖΟΥΜΕ Μαζί», which means “we play (and live) together”. It is addressed to both refugee children, hosted in camp sites in Central Macedonia, enrolled in Reception Classes for the Education of Refugees, as well as local children enrolled in the morning classes hosted in the same school facilities of primary and secondary education.
The aim of this initiative is to promote the coexistence and interaction between children of the region and refugee children and to further contribute to the process of integration of refugee children into the Greek environment through sports and culture.
The event will include activities such as individual and team sports, dancing, music, painting and games.
ELIX, within the framework of the project "Quality Play-Based Learning and Non-Formal Education, Enhanced Psychosocial Well-Being and Positive Integration for Refugee Children Aged 3–17 Years in Greece" and the educational activities provided to refugee children residing in camp sites in Central Macedonia, will happily accompany the students and will actively take part in this event.
The event will take place on the 23rd of May 2017, in Kaftanzoglio Stadium of Thessaloniki, from 9.30 am until 14.00 pm.
