Youth Association ESTYES is non-profit NGO established in 1991 with with the purpose to develop youth and cultural exchanges and promote non-formal educational activities for better understanding between countries and people and just world.
It is a pioneer organisation in Estonia in the filed of international voluntary service ESTYES activities nowadays are:
- organise voluntary workcamps in Estonia and send Estonian volunteers to those abroad;
- host international volunteers on EVS projects in Estonia and sending young Estonians to EVS projects abroad;
- organise youth exchanges in Estonia and sending young Estonians to youth and culture exchanges abroad;
- organise and take part in the conferences, seminars, training courses related to the main fields of activities.
ESTYES main target group is young people aged 14-30. Young people with special needs are the group of special consideration for ESTYES.
Every year ESTYES runs around 35 short term voluntary service projects (workcamps) hosting there over 300 of young people from abroad and sends around 200 young Estonians to workcamps and youth exchange projects abroad. ESTYES coordinates nearly 20 EVS projects around the country hosting every year about 20 EVS volunteers from abroad. At the same time ESTYES acts as EVS sending organisations giving chance to 30 young people to participate in the EVS projects abroad.
ESTYES is a member of the Alliance of the European Voluntary Service Organisations and Coordinating Committee of International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) by UNESCO.
