Η ΕΛΙΞ σας προτείνει "Green Light For Youth", ένα πρόγραμμα EVS διοργανωμένο από την οργάνωση Egyesek Youth Association στις πόλεις Nagylóc και Szécsény της Ουγγαρίας.
Η Egyesek Youth Association αναζητά έναν εθελοντή/μια εθελόντρια για την περίοδο 26 Μαρτίου 2018 έως 26 Ιανουαρίου 2019.
Μια συνάντηση προετοιμασίας θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 25 μέχρι τις 28 Φεβρουάριου 2018, έτσι ώστε ο εθελοντής/η εθελόντρια θα έχει την πιθανότητα να γνωρίσει την οργάνωση φιλοξενίας πριν την έναρξη του προγράμματος EVS, για να είναι καλύτερα προετοιμασμένος/η για τη νέα εμπειρία και να προσαρμοστεί σταδιακά στο νέο περιβάλλον.

Green Light for Youth – EVS by Egyesek Youth Association
Egyesek Youth Association is non-governmental youth organisation active in the region of Nógrád, one of the poorest in Hungary, since ten years. Our work is rapidly growing in the area. We are mainly working with children and young people with fewer opportunities. We expect you to join us on the field and put 100% of your potential, in order to deliver and develop our activities.
Our mission is to create equal chances for all children and young people, regardless of their personal circumstances. We transform their passion into a way to make their own living. Our aim is to enable local youth to discover their own potential and use it to increase the quality of their lives.
Are methods are informal education, volunteering, new media, movement and sport. We are more than open to experiment with new methods and you are very welcome to share your expertise!
A regular working week consists of a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 38 working hours, including language course and meetings, travel time excluded. Every week you are entitled to two consequent free days, each month you get two days extra.
Your EVS community will consist of ten people from all around Europe!
Activities:
1. Creative workshops
You are going to plan, prepare, implement, and evaluate English speaking action-based creative workshops in 4 different villages (Nagylóc, Endrefalva, Hollókő, Szécsény).
You will also support the Youth Center of Nagylóc in its activities.
Target group: children aged 6-14
Main topics: eco-conscious lifestyle, intercultural learning
2. Triggering local youth
You are going to plan, prepare, realize, and evaluate sessions for local students in high schools and community centres.
Here EVS volunteers give information about Erasmus+, EVS, trainings, youth exchanges, international voluntary camps, projects of Egyesek and other NGOs.
Target group: young people aged 14-30 (high school students, unemployed youth)
Main activities: Youth information club, logistical support in local events, workshops, informal events.
3. Your own project
You are welcome to create your own initiative, as long as it involves local youth and it is connected to any of Egyesek core areas.
Accommodation:
Ten EVS volunteers live together in one or two apartments or family houses. Basic furniture, washing machine, cooking equipment, bicycles, Wi-Fi, and bed sheets are provided. Volunteers share rooms and clean on their own. The accommodation is in Nagylóc and Szécsény. Szécsény is a lively town with cc. 6000 inhabitants, moderated social life, basic institutions (bank, health centre, supermarkets, coffee bars, high schools, community centres, gas station, and pharmacy). It is directly connected to all the locations where you work, as well as to Budapest. Nagylóc is a lovely and cosy village with around 2000 inhabitants and several shops, doctors, pharmacies and regular bus connections to/from Szécsény.
Support around you:
Mentor
4-5 mentors support volunteers in order to facilitate their integration in the local community, and to help in everyday life arrangements (public transportation, shopping, social places, free time, etc.)
Youth Worker
You are going to work together with the youth workers of Egyesek Youth Association. They will check your schedule and project related tasks on a daily basis, and will support you in preparing for the field work. They will help you to find opportunities to develop your own initiative. Youth workers will also help you with translations on the field, and will link you to other local key actors, such as local volunteers, social workers, neighbours, etc.
Coordinator
Your coordinator is in charge of:
• administration, legal arrangement, finances, creating your timetable, organizing activities
• encouraging and facilitating EVS volunteers' own initiative
• volunteers' participation in on-arrival training, mid-term evaluation and any other event connected to EVS volunteers' learning process.
• support in case of emergency
•arrangements with accommodation, transportation, and language course.
Language teacher
During the first 2 months you will attend a language course with a local teacher, three or four times per week. It can be continued upon request and our capacity.
Youth Pass
At the end of the project you will receive a Youth Pass, that is, an official document used to recognize the non-formal learning process through which you went during the EVS and the actual achievements you reached. It is commented and supervised by coordinator, mentors, and youth workers.
