Σε συνεργασία με την ισπανική οργάνωση Sunseed, η ΕΛΙΞ σας προτείνει ένα εξάμηνο πρόγραμμα EVS στην Los Molinos del Rio Aguas, ένα ecovillage στην Νότια Ισπανία, όπου οι εθελοντές θα υποστηρίξουν τις δράσεις της οργάνωσης αυτής.

EVS Opportunity with Sunseed Desert Technology, Spain
In March 2018 we will invite 4 EVS volunteers to Sunseed in Los Molinos ecovillage, Southern Spain, to participate in our six month long European Voluntary Service. This programme will enable you to engage actively with communal life; discover new skills and sharpen your passions through practical activities within Sunseed’s nine departments; and to work in close cooperation with passionate and inspirational individuals committed to low-impact intentional living.
These six months will allow you to deepen your practical knowledge of off-grid and community living, and to develop personal projects in various areas, such as organic and biodynamic agriculture, natural eco-construction, dry lands management, appropriate ‘low-tech’ technologies, environmental campaigning, and much more.
You will spend six months on developing a project under the supervision of our international team in a lively hub for individuals passionate about alternative culture. Furthermore, you will act as an assistant in one of our departments, eventually supporting the delivery of educational programmes for short-term volunteers.

What is EVS?
EVS is the European Voluntary Service, a programme allowing young people to go abroad, learn and contribute to a better world with support from Erasmus+ funding. It provides an opportunity to join meaningful work and experiential learning while your food, accommodation, traveling, pocket money, insurance and mentorship are fully covered.
We especially support and encourage to apply individuals who may have experienced social and/or economic hardship, whose first language is not English, or persons who, for whatever reason, have not previously had the opportunity to explore environmentally conscious, community living.
When?
This EVS project will take place for 6 months between 1st April 2018 and 30th September 2018.
Where?
The programme will be held in the ecovillage of Los Molinos del Rio Aguas, near Almeria, Spain. During The first month of the programme you will experience working in all of our nine departmets to give you an overall feel of the project. After this, you will be supported by your mentor to select a department to spend your remaining five months.
You will likely be living in a two-to-four person room for the entire volunteering period. From Monday to Friday you can eat all your meals - breakfast through dinner - communally with the rest of the community.
On weekdays our activities are collaboratively timetabled so community priorities are covered, individual projects are known to all - and participation can be offered if appropriate - and all communal requirements are allocated, such as cooking and cleaning. You will be invited to our weekly community meetings, where we use consensus-decision-making to collectively decide on community developments. In this way we learn how to live together.
At weekends you are free to choose how to spend your time, you may wish to eat in a smaller group, go into the local town of Sorbas for a pizza and a beer, take one of many hiking trails to explore this geologically unique region, or chill out with friends after a busy week.
Who?
Young people between the ages of 18- 30, who have not participated in an EVS programme before, from any EU country.
We are looking for motivated candidates with a pro active, creative and problem solving attitude, good knowledge of English and organizational skills. You will also have the opportunity to develop your Spanish skills in Los Molinos, but you are not required to possess a good command of Spanish before arrival.
