Περιγραφή προγράμματος: One part of my project was to work at OVI Jarse, one of the schools of Javod Janeza Levca with children and youngsters with heavy mental or and learning, behavioral problems.
My role there was to help the teachers at school and after school activities and be with them at the activities out of the school like walks at the parks, visiting the castle . The other part of my work was to help and support in other activities of my hosting organisation like setting photo exhibitions and helping with the preparations of the festival "igraj se z mano" which is organised annually by my hosting organisation. Finally, I made a booklet with the other volunteers of my organisation in which we described our five month EVS experience.
Με λίγα λόγια: EVS is bound to surprise you regardless what you may expected. For me, it was just a great experience and it was successful from the point of view that I get a lot out of this. I am really grateful to had this opportunity.
To be more specific about my project, the one part of the project, the work at the school I think that it was quite interesting as I always had an increased interest on the area of special needs education. I really learnt a lot from this experience .
As for the other part of the project, the festival, I expected to have a more active role on it as it was a big part of our project. The co-operation with my hosting organisation was a challenge for me, and for sure a quite strong learning experience as well. I can recognise mistakes from both parts. As for my sending organisation, I am really satisfied with our co-operation as I got the feeling that I will have support from them if I will needed to.
