The best practice examples address different challenges in promoting active participation of all European citizens and the possibilities to take action NOW as well as to empower partner organisations and their beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries are citizens engaged and willing to give their time, ec4la strengthen the role of volunteer initiatives and empower individuals in taking (local) action.
Project of European Volunteering with a Youth Structure of Paris “Culture for All”
Description: The objective of this volunteering is to promote culture for young people with fewer opportunities in the 19th district of Paris. The European volunteer worked on several art exhibitions and on the discovery of the culture of their neighbourhood.
The village of Hötensleben is a good example for the enriching influence international workcamps can have on the local community and how local volunteering is stimulated by this.
The background: Hötensleben is a village situated directly on the east side of the former German-German border.
Ercolano and San Giorgio a Cremano, 13/10/2012 - 27/10/2012
The international workcamp of YAP Italy CPI 18 - ERCOLANO: STREETS AND GARDENS was organized in collaboration with Youth Forum of Ercolano. Youth Forum is formed by a group of young representatives of different associations and is a not for profit organization created to promote cultural and social activities in order to improve the territory with the help of young people.
