Η ΕΛΙΞ σας προτείνει 4 προγράμματα στο πλαίσιο του European Solidarity Corps (Ευρωπαϊκό Σώμα Αλληλεγγύης), η νέα πρωτοβουλία της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, η οποία δημιουργεί ευκαιρίες για όσους νέους επιθυμούν να κάνουν εθελοντισμό ή να εργαστούν σε προγράμματα προς όφελος κοινοτήτων και ατόμων σε όλη την Ευρώπη.
Το πρόγραμμα χτίζει στην προηγούμενη εμπειρία και δομή του προγράμματος European Voluntary Service (EVS), το οποίο και διαδέχεται, παρουσιάζοντας βασικές ομοιότητες ως προς την λειτουργία και την μορφή του.
Τα προτεινόμενα προγράμματα θα διαρκέσουν 6 ή 7 μήνες, από τον Φεβρουάριο του 2019 και τα συντονίζει η οργάνωση Allianssi Youth Exchanges (Allianssi) στην Φινλανδία.
Προθεσμία υποβολής αιτήσεων: Δευτέρα, 18 Δεκεμβρίου 2018.
Οι αιτήσεις με τους επιλεγμένους υποψήφιους για τα παρακάτω προγράμματα κατατέθηκαν από την οργάνωση φιλοξενίας και θα απαντηθούν από την Εθνική Μονάδα της Φινλανδίας μέχρι τα μέσα Δεκεμβρίου.

CALL FOR EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS VOLUNTEERS IN FINLAND
Please find below descriptions of open ESC placements in Finland. Projects are open for EU program countries. They will all start in February 2019 and will last 6 - 7 months.
Hosts are three folk high schools /vocational institutes and a project called Basketball Hall of Fame. There are 6 vacancies in total.
All projects are located in small communities of Finland and foresee a lot of interaction with local and immigrant youth, as well as a wide variety of tasks. Working language is English, hence the volunteer has to be able to run activities in this language. Funding will be confirmed in mid-December.
1) ESC Volunteers in Peräpohjolan Opisto in Lapland
In this project, located in a traditional, scenic landscape of Tornio Kiviranta by the famous free flowing Tornio River, volunteers will work in the independent folk high school “Peräpohjolan Opisto”, founded in 1901. They will have the possibility to organize activities and instruct students; work for educational exchange by building a network with their own home country; and participate in Finnish language and culture lessons.
2) ESC volunteer positions in Kanneljarvi Folk High School
Volunteers could organize activities and instruct students at the “Kanneljärvi Folk High School”, a vocational institute with a wide range of educational services based in Lohja. Volunteers will be engaged in various kind of activities, for instance a club dedicated to volunteers’ home country, cultural initiatives or gardening tasks, etc. Volunteers will have the opportunity to take part in the trips and camps that the school organizes for its students, and in Finnish language and culture courses. Hosts are open to discuss with volunteers what kind of work they would like to do.
3) ESC for Finnish Basketball Hall of Fame in Heinola and Lahti
This is a project for sport lovers, since volunteers will be active at the Finnish Basketball Hall of Fame which focuses on being a society museum for all basketball communities of Finland. In 2019 the Finnish Basketball Federation celebrates its 80th birthday and the Basketball museum is planning to organize a basketball poster exhibition, which will be on tour in at least 3 different places. In this interesting environment, volunteers’ tasks can include sport or cultural activities, exhibition workshops, activating social media in the Museum of Basketball, helping to set up exhibitions, digitalizing museum materials, monitoring open-gym practices, assisting coach in basketball trainings, helping tournament-organizations, etc. The project is located in the town of Heinola and volunteers will also have the opportunity to travel to the bigger and not too far city of Lahti.
4) ESC volunteer position in IKKO Folk High School in Punkaharju
The host organization Ikko is a modern, non-political and non-religious folk high school offering both general and vocational education for Finnish and immigrant students and groups throughout the year. Students with special needs and young asylum seekers are hosted. Under the guidance of the folk high school staff, volunteers will perform a variety of tasks, such as preparing, organizing and assisting in various workshops, events, cooking clubs, arts and crafts, sports activities, volunteer actions etc; disseminating information on European Solidarity Corps and encouraging students to participate; and acting as intercultural messengers. Volunteers are encouraged to carry out their own ideas. Punkaharju folk high school is located in a rural area in eastern Finland far from city lights, hence it is suitable for people who enjoy environment and outdoor activities.
