The association JUKUS was founded in 2002 in an area of Graz with a high percentage of immigrants. The youth centre ECHO was founded in 2007. The working field of JUKUS is the intercultural youth work. The target group of JUKUS are youngsters from 14 years upwards. JUKUS’s aim is to analyse the needs of youngsters with migration background and to provide intercultural activities in order make integration possible. JUKUS is mainly working in Graz, it’s activities involve as well youngsters from the outskirts of Graz and persons form other parts of Austria within the network of JUKUS.
Different working fields of JUKUS:
Culture: Turkish-German library, music courses (Saz), events like youth culture festival, concerts, discussions, trainings
Youth: intercultural activities, outdoor and leisure time activities, football contests, trainings of parcour/ freefrunning
Media: Turkish-German newspaper „Yeni Hayat – Neues Leben“
Tasks:
The volunteers will help the youthworkers in the youthcenter to work on different areas. They will be asked to do what he/she likes and the team will re-arrange the tasks according to their skills, interests and motivation. The volunteers will attend the team meetings which take place twice a month. Proposed activities for the EVS volunteers can be: helping for the arrangement of office work, organising various activities, such as: workshops, trainings, seminars, conferences, cultural nights, trips, games, events…, preparing the announcements and informing youngsters about the events, participation in activities and projects, giving consultation to youngsters about their everyday life problems, contribution of topics and additional research for the turkish-german newspaper and library orientated tasks. An example of a day at JUKUS could be: 12:30-15:00 work in the office, preparation of activities, 15:00-18:00: working with youngsters, giving information, consultation, 18:00-20:00 participating in activities with youngsters, playing games. It will also be in benefit of the volunteers on a practical level as they will have the chance to get an insight into and a practical experience in the field of intercultural youthwork not to mention the personal learning effects. The volunteer will help in the daily routine of the youth centre, try to get in contact with the youngsters and support the team to organise different activities for the youngsters who come to the youth centre. The youth centre ECHO is highly frequented by male youngster with a migration background so the work consists a lot in intercultural youth work. The volunteer has the possibility to develop his own project and activities with the youngsters.
Criteria:
Due to the target group in the Youth Center ECHO the volunteer should be over 20 years. The person should be interested especially in sports, music and young culture. These interests are the most important topics in the youth center. But all special interests of the volunteer are welcome because he/she is asked for a small or bigger project on his/her own. . It is very important that the volunteer is open-minded, outgoing, patient, friendly and communicative in the work with youngsters.

Αναλυτική περιγραφή προγράμματοςConservation Volunteers Northern Ireland (CVNI) is the Northern Ireland region of BTCV which is a UK-wide environmental charity.
CVNI’s primary objective is to “Inspire People to Improve Places” through voluntary activity and we promote the support, development, training and practical involvement of people in action to improve the environment. From our five offices we provide advice, support, training and information as well as practical action through our own practical groups, including Conservation Action Teams and Green Gyms. All our projects result in practical environmental improvement including tree planting, drystone walling, path creation, woodland management, pond construction, hedgelaying, building school nature areas and creating informal urban open spaces.
Location of the EVS project: Bangor County Down
The project is based in Bangor County Down, which is a seaside town situated on the southern shore of Belfast Lough. The town has a population of about 70,000 people and has an attractive town centre with a harbour, marina and good shops. By Northern Ireland standards Bangor is an affluent town compared to many other areas. There are many deprived areas in Northern Ireland, which still show signs of the conflict, but to a large extent Bangor shows very little evidence of depravation or the conflict and not at all in the town centre, where the EVS volunteers live. Bangor is about 12 miles from Belfast which is Northern Ireland’s capital city and there are good bus and rail links to Belfast. The volunteer accommodation is in Bangor town centre, a few minutes walk from the shops and other amenities such as the leisure centre and many sports facilities for sports including tennis, rugby, football and athletics.
Volunteer accommodation and food:
CVNI has a house in Bangor where up to four EVS volunteers live and close to all the town centre amenities and within sight of Ward Park which has extensive open space and sports facilities. The house has a kitchen, living room, two bathrooms and five bedrooms. Each volunteer has their own room (with lockable door) and the use of the other shared facilities. CVNI pays all costs associated with the house including rent, electricity and heating and the EVS volunteers are given a weekly allowance to buy food and have the use of the shared kitchen. The volunteers living at this accommodation cook meals together and share the cleaning. The house has a phone which is set to receive incoming calls only and CVNI also pays for the cost of this service. The house also has internet access for volunteers who bring their own computer and many do. Volunteers without their own computer are allowed to use one of the computers in our office for internet access. Volunteers are given written rules for the use of the house and are asked to sign an agreement that they understand and will abide by the rules.
CVNI office at Clandeboye and transport:
CVNI has extensive premises at Clandeboye Estate, about three miles from Bangor town centre, including offices, training facilities, residential accommodation and a four acre walled garden used for growing trees. As Clandeboye Estate is a little inaccessible, we collect volunteers from Bangor in a minibus each morning and return them at the end of the day.
CVNI works with many communities, schools, groups and landowners across Northern Ireland. A number of the projects based at Clandeboye are Northern Ireland-wide and often involve work at other locations and CVNI staff will drive the volunteers to the relevant location in one of our vehicles, for example, collecting tree seed for the tree nursery from ancient woodlands.
The projects and activities the EVS volunteers will be involved in.
We are seeking two EVS volunteers who will be mainly involved in the tree nursery project, but may also be involved in some other projects, for example the Conservation Action Team.
The tree nursery is based in a four acre walled garden at Clandeboye Estate, where CVNI grows native trees from seed, collected from old woodlands across Northern Ireland. We grow trees like Oak, Birch, Ash and Rowan and because we use locally collected seed the trees we grow are described as being of “local provenance” and are better adapted to support our local biodiversity that trees grown from seed collected in mainland UK or Europe. We grow up to 100,000 trees per year and these are planted out at many locations across Northern Ireland. Approximately ten volunteers work in the tree nursery every day and typical work includes:
· Preparing soil and seed beds
· Digging up trees and labelling them
· Helping to collect seed from woodlands
· Preparing seed for storage over winter
· Watering and caring for plants
· Helping to deal with customers and other callers
The Conservation Action Team is a secondary project which EVS volunteers can be involved in. Each day a team of up to 12 volunteers goes out in a minibus to sites within a 20 mile radius to do practical conservation work such as tree planting, improving woodlands, building ponds, improving countryside footpaths and improving school nature areas. Typically work for the EVS volunteers will involve:
- Organising tools and materials.
- Undertaking practical projects such as tree planting, fencing, walling and habitat creation.
- Helping to lead the group once experienced.
- Counting tools and equipment at the end of the day.
The EVS volunteer profile we are seeking and the specific skills required
Age:
Eighteen years or age and older.
Level of spoken English:
Volunteers must have sufficient spoken English to live and work in another country. Most EVS volunteers attend an English for Speakers of Other metadatas (ESOL) course at the local further education college and many undertake the examination.
Skills required:
No special skills or experience is required. Many past EVS volunteers have had some interest in the environment and used the experience with CVNI to further their career in the environment. However no special skills are required and full training will be given as long as the volunteer is keen and well motivated.

The host organisation Nevalstybinis vaiku darzelis „Nendre“ offers is a public institution independent kindergarten.
The single mother families of Snipiskes area are the target group of „Nendre“. The services provided by „Nendre“: pre-school age group, schoolchildren day- time care group; various work (support, consulting and etc.) with the families and etc. The staff of center: director, accountant, social workers, pedagogues, psychologist, the speechtherapist.
Role and tasks of the volunteer:
- Work in one of two group:
1. Pre-school group (Monday-Friday):
10-11 am - support for pedagogue;
11-12 am - communicating and playing with children;
12-1 pm - common lunch together with children and tutor;
1-4 pm - outdoor activities with children or preparation for the events;
4 pm - dinner (optional.)

2. Day-care center for children (Monday-Friday):
12-1pm - common lunch together with children and tutor in the pre-school group;
1-4pm – meeting children in the day-care center;
1-4pm – preparing homework – volunteer help children during their homework preparation for school;

Περιγραφή προγράμματος:
The Park would like to host 5 volunteers who are interested in the marine environment and who have a passion for environmental conservation.
This project is particularly suitable for youth who have a penchant for nautical activities as sailing and boating; and for those who love marine sports as canoeing, snorkelling, diving and swimming.
Many of the Park's activities involve outdoor mansions, beach activities and direct contact with the sea and its creatures.
All volunteers' mansions will help the Park's staff in the fields of:
- promotion and support to the Park's activities of sustainable tourism, as the tours of sea observation (snorkelling, canoeing) offered to tourists
- educational activities related to environmental conservation
- environmental monitoring, as spotting violations to the Park'regulations, and regular shift activity
- environmental protection, as coordination in the Clean Up Days, waste-collecting tours on the Park's powerboat
The five volunteers will stay for five months in a private property flat in Nerano village, close to the pathway leading to Ieranto Bay, in Sorrento Peninsula.

It's a social project working with people with intellectual disabilities. The Foundation San Cebrian has different Day Centers in rural area with Workshops for the residents. They're in the province of Palencia, situated in the region of Castilla and Leon in Northern Spain. The volunteers will live in the town of Palencia.
