This is your ideal summer workcamp if you love nature and you would like to help an organic farm, in the heart of the Swiss pre-Alps, which is home and working place of some adults with mental health problems. Your co-volunteers will be asylum seekers and international volunteers; all together you will also organize a theatre workshop!

If you love gardening, you would like to explore the history of an ancient castle in Czech Republic, and you are ready for physically demanding work, have a look at this lovely project where you will help local staff to maintain the Grabstejn castle park and its surroundings. In your free time you will have plenty of interesting activities to do, such as visiting Liberec, hiking in the beautiful hilly countryside surrounding the castle and climb the famous mountain Jested (1012 m) with a unique mountain hotel on the top, visit a regional brewery and many other interesting sights.

If you are prepared for physical work and you love nature, have a look at the project OLD MIETOINEN which includes both renovation and environmental work! You will help to maintain local landscape, tidy environment and renovate old timber buildings in an ecological way. The workcamp is a great opportunity for learning about eco-friendly building skills and the culture and way of living in the Finnish archipelago and countryside. You will be in the village of Mietoinen, in the south coast of Finland.

4) CPI15, WHV - VOLUNTEERING IN HERCULANEUM, Ercolano, MANU CULT, 31/08/19 - 14/09/19, 18-25.
If you love art and antiquity, this is the project for you! The workcamp is located in beautiful Ercolano, an Italian town which lies at the western foot of Mount Vesuvius, on the Bay of Naples, just southeast of the city of Naples. The town is famous for its ancient Roman city Herculaneum, one of the few ancient cities to be preserved almost intact, like its sister city Pompeii, for having been buried in ash by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius in the 79 CE. This workcamp will give you the opportunity to welcome, giving information on the site, and orient visitors in the ancient Herculaneum and in the Antiquarium of the Archaeological Park; you will even have the chance to participate in a frescos painting workshop in the famous Villa dei Papiri.
5) CPI10, VILLA BONA 2, Carignano, MANU CULT, 25/08/19 - 07/09/19, 18-30.
The aim of the project “VILLA BONA”, is to restore Villa Bona in Carignano, a wonderful historical villa of the 18th century surrounded by a big park, and to make it usable for public events, concerts, exhibitions, etc. Carignano is a small town 20 km South of Turin. This year the central idea of the workcamp is to exchange traditions and explore other cultures, so for example some Carignano's families will host volunteers for a dinner in the house to share their culture and way of life. The outdoor manual work will be in a garden close to the river Po cutting bamboo and cleaning paths and weeds; painting benches and fences in public gardens in the village. The work inside Villa Bona will be scratching wooden doors and painting them. There could also be cleaning work in bell towers and churches. Volunteers will also meet an association that runs a refugee project.
6) IBOIT20, CONTRADA VALLONE ROSSO BIANCAVILLA (CT) ITA (Catania), MANU AGRI, 19/08/19 - 30/08/19, 18-99, 3 places for males left, extra fee 15 euro.
By participating in this lovely project in beautiful Sicily, you will do manual work in the premises of a local organization that is committed to the reception of minors and succeeds in offering them concrete possibilities of job insertion and social reintegration. In your free time you will have the chance to visit the Vulcan Etna and the elegant baroque town of Acireale.
7) IBOIT21, SAN BENEDETTO BELBO, Alba, RENO MANU, 19/08/19 - 31/08/19, 18-28.
This workcamp is very special, since it is located in San Benedetto Belbo (Cuneo) a lovely place where there is a small monastic community in Alba’s diocese. The workcamp is part of the project Villaggio Elim (www.villaggioelim.it) a residential and no residential community project based on the choice of poverty, hosting and contemplation. If you participate in this initiative, you will do restoration and manual work through which you will support the recovery of the stone heritage of a complex of the century XVII.

8) CONCF-122, FESTIVAL SILHOUETTE - PARIS MAKE FILMS, FRANCE (Paris), FEST CULT, 27/08/19 - 10/09/19, 18-30.
Fans of cinema, films and culture, this is the perfect workcamp for you! In the heart of Paris, this open-air festival is an international short-film competition which attracts more than 20.000 visitors every year. Under the guidance of a team of workcamp leaders, you will participate in the logistic support of the festival, catering and the reception of visitors, mostly in the evenings. You will also be responsible for the implementation of the volunteers’ space of the festival and its decoration. 9) EGY-19-04-ESC, THE GREAT YONDER, HUN (Bedepuszta), ESC (European Solidarity Corps), MANU FEST CULT, 07/08/19 - 23/08/19, 18-30.
Join a team of volunteers and support the preparation, implementation and deconstruction of a small local festival in rural Hungary! Bedepuszta is a remote village in Northern Hungary, an idyllic place but also an ecological and cultural project, with The Great Yonder being the kick off. The Great Yonder is a festival, a retreat and an inspiring holiday taking place in a fairytale-like location, where artists have the freedom to make the music they want to make and where guests can enjoy nature and space to their hearts’ content. Musicians from various bands and genres come together to make music on the stage, on top of a hill or under a pear tree together. Furthermore, there is yoga, people baking bread, the swimming pool is open and there are numerous games and inspiring speakers.
10) LUNAR 22, CARSOLIDARITY, ITALY (Carsoli), SOCI MANU, 07/08/19 - 26/08/19, 18-28, 1 place left.
The workcamp will take place in Carsoli, a small town in the Italian region of Abruzzo, 60 km by train from Rome. Along with other international and local volunteers, you will do manual work and you will also help to organize a day full of cultural activities, in cooperation with an association that raises awareness on the issue of combating violence against women.
11) LUNAR 31 ESC, I LAKE YOU, ITALY (Posta Fibreno), CONS MANU, 19/08/19 - 03/09/19, 21-99.
By participating in this workcamp, you will support the work of ‘Rise Hub’, a permanent laboratory for social innovation active in the territory of Valle di Comino that studies, researches and promotes good practices of inclusion and integration of migrants, sustainable lifestyles, non-formal education, social communication, neo-rural development, and policies to support social entrepreneurship. You will be housed in the ancient and lovely village of Posta Fibreno, halfway between Rome and Naples, perched on the top of a ridge from which it is possible to enjoy a wonderful panorama on the natural reserve of the Lake.

The project THE FORTRESS OF MONTAIGU LE BLIN will give you the opportunity to help restore a beautiful castle. Inside a lovely little French village, the castle of Montaigu-le-Blin is an impressive medieval fortress. It is located on the top of a hill, overlooking the countryside. Participate in the protection and enhancement of this breathtaking heritage! Within the castle, you will do various works of restoration of walls (ramparts, towers) using traditional techniques, maintaining the vegetation (clearing bushes, etc.) and many varied tasks. You will also participate in the touristic life of the site, by helping the guided visits and organizing activities and events.
14) ANEC25, REVITALISE A HIKINGPATH FOR ST-A-R-S, Stade municipal, ENVI CONS MANU, 05/08/19- 26/08/19, 14-17, extra fee 250 euro.
Saint-Amant-Roche-Savine (St-A-R-S) is a charming village, located in the Regional Nature Parc of the Livradois-Forez, one of the biggest in France. Participate in St-A-R-S village dynamism and daily life, give new life to a local footpath in the charming forest "Le Bois des Fourches" by cleaning it and creating signings about fauna and flora in order to enable friendly, familial and pedagogical hiking in the forest!
