1. JR19/104, IMPROVE THE DISTRICT! CLERMONT-FERRAND- FRENCH SPEAKING, Clermont-Ferrand, SOCI, 13/07/19 - 27/07/19, 18-30.
In this French speaking workcamp, located in the lovely city Clermont-Ferrand, you will participate in a project thought to foster social inclusion of young people facing difficulties. In partnership with the home district "Les Vergnes", your mission will be to embellish the district, together with local young people at risk of social exclusion. You will clean, paint and do a creative fresco. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to join several activities. The project will have a real impact on the people who live in this district.
2. JR19/108, CENTER FOR ASYLUM-SEEKERS ST BEAUZIRE, Brioude, MANU REFU, 04/08/19 - 24/08/19, 18-30.
The workcamp will take place in a center for asylum seekers in South-central France. Here, you will work together with migrants and under the guidance of a technical leader, by painting a fresco and doing renovation work in some spaces of the center which are not used yet, but still have potential to become livable places. The center of asylum-seekers is situated in saint Beauzire in Haute-Loire, a few kilometers away from Brioude, where you will be able to visit one of the most beautiful basilicas of the region or to bath you in the fresh waters of the river. You will also share friendly moments with migrants by participating in activities proposed by the center (sport, swimming pool, workshop music, movie club) or by visiting the region with the volunteers of the association.

3. CONCF-031, RIOM, KIDS FESTIVAL, Riom, FEST, 05/07/19 - 20/07/19, 18-99.
If you have a basic knowledge of French, you like children and want to find out how a festival is organized, this workcamp is perfect for you! Each year, the town of Riom organizes the festival “My summer in Cerey”. The main goal of the event is to offer free activities to those who cannot afford to go on holidays. The organization is very family-friendly, in a spirit of meeting and sharing. For ten days, sports, recreational and cultural activities will be offered by the town of Riom and local associations. During the event, you will be in charge of welcoming the public, tending a soft-drink stand and helping people with different activities, such as a zip wire, trampoline and inflatable attractions. You will also run a pancake stand! You will be only 7 minutes away by train from the region’s capital, Clermont-Ferrand.
4. ANEC03, NATURE RETREAT IN AN ECO-HAMLET, Le Puy basset, FEST, 24/06/19 - 11/07/19, 18-99.
The association "La Feina" aims to create a welcoming sustainable place for people facing social difficulties. The association is based in a rural area which is surrounded by breathtaking mountains. The workcamp aims at supporting the association, through construction work and help during the implementation of an event which will take place for two days, in order to raise awareness on environmental issues.
5. CONCF-034, CHENERAILLES - ARTISTIC WORKCAMP FOR CITY DEVELOPMENT, Chenerailles, ART, 12/07/19 - 26/07/19, 18-99.
If you like painting you will love this workcamp which is based on an artistic, intergenerational and intercultural project whose objective is to decorate the main square of the town of Chénérailles with 15 designed columns. Under the guidance of an artistic leader, you will create paintings on 15 poly-chrome columns which will be installed in the main square of the city until October.
6. SJ21, BEAUFIEST’IVAL, Mazeray, CULT, 05/07/19 - 26/07/19, 18-99.
The Beaufiest'yval is a festival of shows and animations for families and people of all ages in an exceptional setting of eight hectares located in the Beaufief park, in Mazeray, just behind the castle. It is a unique opportunity to live together and experience a time of sharing and conviviality. You will work with the volunteers, the children and the young people of the Beaufief leisure centre, by preparing and setting up the festival. After the festival, you will organize games and activities with the children from the leisure centre. During free time you will have the chance to visit the castle, the abbey and the botanical garden; enjoy the lake Bernou and its tavern, as well as visit the cities of La Rochelle and Poitiers.
7. SJ39 MUSIQUES ÉPICÉES FESTIVAL, St Aulaye, CULT, 17/07/19 - 31/07/19, 18-99.
If you participate in this workcamp, you will immerse yourself in a beautiful environment. This enchanting setting is the place where every year the "Festival des musiques épicées", a world music event, takes place. Volunteers will have the chance to prepare the "Festival des musiques épicées", by creating sets with inhabitants, preparing shows and activities for the festival, while working along with the local youth club, music school and other associations. In your free time, you will have plenty of things to do, such as canoeing, swimming, hiking, going to concerts, and much more.
8. SJ40, A JOURNEY TO THE MIDDLE AGES!, Souvigny (Allier), CULT, 20/07/19 - 09/08/19, 18-99.
Travel back to the Middle Ages! Help to transform a village into a medieval festival! Each year this festival, located in the lovely town of Souvigny (Allier), attracts more than 30,000 visitors. You will get to know the traditions of the French medieval culture and make lots of friends.
9. SJ61, THE HISTORY OF MUSIC ON THE ISLAND OF OLÉRON, Oléron Island, RENO CULT, 09/08/19 - 30/08/19, 18-99.
The workcamp will take place in a French island on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Here, you will support an organization which wants to restore and bring back to life “La Cailletière”, an ancient travel site built after World Word II, which will become, thanks to your help, a school music! Work will be led by a technical leader and volunteers will deconstruct and clean the interior of the building which will become the music school. In addition, you will participate in the preparation of the local festival “O! Les Rues”. On the island of Oléron, you can enjoy sea-related activities, such as fishing, sailing, going the beach, bike tours, or beach volleyball. You can also visit some cities like La Rochelle and Rochefort. Free time activities will allow you to mingle with inhabitants who cannot wait to meet you.
10. SJ81, THE FORT LIEDOT OF L’ILE D’AIX, Aix Island, RENO - CULT, 27/09/19 - 18/10/19, 18-99.
L’Ile d’Aix is a small pedestrian island in the Atlantic Ocean. Marked by an eventful maritime past, this island contains lots of places filled with history. The goal of this workcamp will be to continue the restoration work of Fort Liédot. Volunteers will remove the vegetation which covers the fort, and then will start masonry work. A technical supervisor will train you in traditional masonry techniques, identical to those used during the construction of Fort Liédot. In l’Ile d’Aix you will be able to enjoy several activities close to the sea, for instance fishing and sailing with local clubs. Pleasures like beach, bike rides by the ocean, beach volleyball and many more will be available for you. Leisure time will also give you the opportunity to interact with the inhabitants of the island who are excited to meet new people.

11. CONCF-152, BASSOUES 1, A LEGENDARY VILLAGE, Bassoues, RENO ENVI, 05/07/19 - 26/07/19, 18-99.
Delve into the history and charm of Bassoues, a fortified medieval village in the heart of the Gascogne countryside. Near the birthplace of the famous D’Artagnan, Bassoues is surrounded by ramparts and brings ancient myths into reality. You will be awestruck by the 43-meter high, splendidly-preserved donjon at the village entrance, which dates from 1371. The whole municipality of Bassoues is listed as a Historical Monument: a perfect place for nature lovers and history buffs alike. You are going to clean parts of the fortification walls of the village. You will also participate in maintaining the permaculture garden and take part in a citizen day in the village (watering the plants of the village, cleaning a street...). From Bassoues, the region of Gers is all yours. This small, charming town is on the road of ancient fortified villages, close to the lake of Lupiac and the city of Auch. Marciac, a city famous for its international jazz festival, "Jazz in Marciac", is also nearby. In Bassoues, you’ll have the chance to discover the most delicious culinary specialities, hiking paths to castles and fortified towns, and medieval villages. Multiple cultural and sports activities will be available like the medieval festival of Lupiac or the associative bar nearby Baccarisse with its concerts, theatre plays, and festival "Montesquiou on the rock".
12. SJ83, A SHARED GARDEN ON THE BASTIDES ROAD, Salvagnac, RENO ENVI, 04/07/19 - 25/07/19, 18-90.
Right on the top of the hill, you will be welcomed by the two impressive towers of Salvagnac’s medieval castle, last pieces of their great medieval period, and by the astonishing view from there. It’s at the heart of this little village that you will take part in the renovation of the new shared gardens, an initiative led by the community since 2012 et which is very popular among the population. You will closely work with the local associations whilst learning new skills, and discover intercultural and intergenerational diversity. With around you a beautiful view on the countryside, you will clear the piece of land, install a fence and you will restore the roof and the door of a little shack in bricks which will be the future cozy meeting point of the gardeners.
13. SJ19 AN ABANDONED VILLAGE IN THE HEART OF LIMOUSINI, Grandsaigne, ENVI, 01/07/19 - 21/07/19, 18-90.
This project is for nature lovers who want to experience living without electricity, running water, crowds, who just want to be immersed in the environment and to listen to the sound of nature. Volunteers will be in an abandoned village hidden in the woods, with thatched roofs and old stones, a chapel, a rock for meditation. Here, they will be involved in the reopening of a hiking path and design walking and nature trails from Cledat. During the same period, the tiny village organizes a nature festival during one week; where hiking, meditation, songs, and crafts workshop are planned.
14. JR19/312, SAINT JEAN DE VERGES, ENVI MANU, 08/07/19 - 19/07/19, 18-30.
The small town of Saint-Jean-de-Verges invites you to participate in the preparation of a local festival and in the maintenance of hiking trails. You will be in the heart of a beautiful region that will allow you to discover a rich historical, natural and gastronomic heritage.
15. JR19/313, ANTICHAN DE FRONTIGNES, Montrejeau-Gour, ENVI MANU, 30/07/19 - 20/08/19, 18-30.
The workcamp aims at implementing concrete actions to improve living environment and to integrate volunteers into local life. You will participate in varied restoration work in the village and in the organization, implementation and closing of the local village festival, a very popular annual event. You will be in a very special place, since Antichan of Frontignes is a small rural village 580 m altitude, 87 residents, at the foot of the chain of Pyrenees, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. The site is rather isolated but offers many opportunities for hiking, visiting the beautiful local built heritage, sports; possibility of swimming in the lake near the village ... and the village is very lively during the festival.

Enjoy unforgettable moments at the Frayse estate, a beautiful area where one of the greatest festivals for young people takes place. The Festival is organized by UFCV, one of the largest youth education organizations in France. Volunteers will support the organizers in the implementation of the festival through various activities, such as preparing the site and decoration; setting up a project with the entire team to run a stand during the festival; and dismantling the festival at its end. Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in the activities that will be offered during the event! The Domaine de la Frayse is in the Fargues St Hilaire city territory. This village, surrounded by vineyards, is about 20 km away from Bordeaux and 60 km away from the Atlantic Ocean. Visits (the Pyla Dune, the city of Bordeaux) and leisure activities (the funny game bubble foot, biking) will also take place during your stay.
17. CONCF-040, CHOUVIGNY, CREATION OF 2 BOOK CABINS, Chouvigny, TEEN (teenage_camp), ART, 07/08/19 - 21/08/19, 15-17, extra fee 165 euro.
The town of Chouvigny is committed to sustainable development and to the promotion of reading. The municipality recovered 2 old public telephone booths, with the aim to convert them into book lending cabins and install them in the village. You will be the protagonist of this initiative, because you will paint cabins from the outside; decide how to organize them inside, install shelves, make decorations. You can also think about the modification of the external parts of the cabins. Under the guidance of a technical leader, you will learn basic carpentry skills and how to handle tools. The village of Chouvigny is located in Auvergne, 60 km away from Clermont-Ferrand. It is perfectly situated in the Gorge of Sioule, on the shore of a natural and wild-flowing river, where you might see beavers and swim! You will enjoy the town's summery energy and the countryside nearby.
18. SJ/TEEN30, CAP ON LILE DOLERON, Grand-Village-P, TEEN (teenage_camp), CULT, 08/07/19 - 29/07/19, 15-17, extra fee 150 euro.
If you go to this workcamp, you will be in the middle of the see, in the beautiful island Oléron, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. This project is based on the traditional farmhouse of Oléron which consist of a house, barns, and cellars that illustrate the daily life of the islanders at the end of the 19th century. Under the guidance of a technical expert in traditional masonry, you will begin to work on the restoration of the facades of the farmhouse. You will also have to renovate or put up the surrounding low walls and mark out the spaces of this traditional farmhouse. There you will learn several traditional techniques, such as constructing drystone walls. On the island of Oléron, plenty of aquatic activities will be awaiting you, such as fishing and sailing with local clubs, enjoying the beach, seaside bike rides, beach volleyball and many other pleasures to discover. You can also visit the lovely cities of La Rochelle and Rochefort. Activities will be organized with the population, particularly with the youth from Grand-Village’s youth center, who are looking forward to meeting you!
